Black Rabbit is a residential design-build firm. We build custom homes and renovate existing ones on private land, mountain lots, and rural properties.
We are a design-build contractor. Architecture, interior design, site preparation, and construction are managed by one team under one contract. There is no gap between the architect and the builder because they are part of the same organization.
We take on a limited number of projects each year. The firm was built this way on purpose. It allows every active project to receive the attention and oversight it requires.
We work best with clients who are involved in the process without trying to manage it. That means being available for timely decisions, being clear about what matters to you, and trusting the team you hired to execute it.
Black Rabbit is led by Gabe Thomas, who has decades of experience in residential construction & Remodeling. The core team includes a licensed architect, a project manager, an interior designer, and a field superintendent. Specialty trades are staffed from a vetted group of subcontractors we have worked with across multiple projects.
We are not trying to build the most homes. We are trying to build the best ones we can. That requires limiting the number of projects we take on so that every client receives the same level of planning, communication, and craftsmanship.
